How Casualiscool came to be
I originally bought this domain in hopes of creating an urban style clothing brand called Casual is Cool. Since then it has become my cover all blog and chronicles my journey to rise up in business, the entertainment world, and martial arts. The original idea for the clothing brand name was supposed to be that there’s nothing casual at all about the clothing and there was supposed to be some irony to that. Well now that this has become a blog on my interests and adventures, I hope my entries will prove to be anything but normal.
About Me (the author Alfred Hsing)
I want to live life. I don’t just want to be alive.. living to work. I want to do something remarkable and I want to do it while I’m young. I also hope to achieve great wealth and power so that I can champion causes on a global scale and make improvements to society either from a scientific standpoint or a social mindset standpoint.
After college, I worked at KPMG and City National Bank. In 2009, I quit my corporate job to pursue some life goals and to live by my personal motto “live life without regrets”. Now my actions are guided by an important question “would I regret not taking this action?” I now manage an online businesses (www.wushukicks.com), am an actor (my imdb), and am involved in philanthropy.
I am an extrovert and an optimist. I believe that I can will anything to happen and things have been going well so far. I also like to go with the flow and believe everything happens for a reason.. I don’t know what all those reasons are, but in the end it all works out. I believe that life is very short.. and because I believe this I try to achieve as much as I can even if it means only sleeping 4 hours a day.
One of my biggest goals for the past 10 years of my life was to make the US wushu team and to medal at the World Games.. which happened for me in 2009. I made the US wushu team and won America’s first gold in taolu wushu at the 10th World Wushu Championships. In 2010 I moved to China to work on some film opportunities as well as to learn about global philanthropy.
